Travel Sets and Minis
There are SO many good things about holidays, but sometimes the cosmetic limit isn’t one of them. If you only have hand luggage, and are a beauty junkie, it’s a nightmare. Likewise if your hold luggage limit isn’t that high – what do you leave behind?
Luckily, there are now travel versions of pretty much everything you need – and some lovely sets you most likely don’t need, but really feel the need to buy!

It really helps if your favourite haircare comes in a mini size, for a short trip away. I am delighted to know that Swell Haircare comes in a cute travel kit (which is really a starter kit, of course, but you know!). This fab range, which I am in love with, is so good for my hair, I can’t bear to be without it. And I don;t need to, thanks to this wee set, which contains Ultimate Volume Shampoo, Ultimate Volume Conditioner (both 50ml) and Ultimate Volume Root Complex (25ml). This stuff is fantastic for limp, fine, hair. It gives much needed lift and volume, but it’s also very hydrating and nourishing at the same time which is a bonus. Accessorize do some really cute beauty products, and some very good little gift sets, or travel sets. This Lychee Sorbet Refreshing Travel Set (£15, accessorize.co.uk) comes in a tin. I’m not suggesting your take the tin with you in your luggage, but, well, if you love tins like I do, you’ll understand the appeal of this set. It also contains a few things that aren’t the norm – you get a lip balm, a hand cream, a face wash, and a face mist. The aloe and white tea mist and face wash smell lovely.
Rituals have loads of lovely minis to choose from. You can pick and mix from their various ranges, and choose the products you like. They do little mini version of their perfumes, which is just such a good idea. This lovely Nuit A Marrakech Mini EDP (£9.50) is perfect for sultry summer evenings, with notes of Mimosa, Saffron and Cedar Wood. And slip this wee The Ritual of Sakura 24hr Anti-Perspirant Spray (£3.50) into your luggage to keep your smelling fresh, and of rice milk and cherry blossom, and not travel odour! The name of this set makes me want to pack my bags right now. The Korres Holiday in Greece Set (£19, debenhams.com) is a gorgeous little travel set, with five cute and functional minis. There’s Aloe & Dittany Shampoo, great for everyday use. Basil Lemon Showergel – my favourite – is lovely and creamy, with vitamins and antioxidants, and a gorgeous smell. There’s a matching Basil Lemon Body Milk, with shea butter and jojoba oil. And then there’s Guava Showergel and Guava body butter – this one full of quince extract, sunflower, almond and avocado oils, perfect for dry elbows, heels,and knees – brilliant for long-haul flying. And all of these lovely minis will easily fit in your teeniest of travel bags!

KIKO Milano’s Solar Protect Set (£21.90, kikocosmetics.com) features three of the Italian beauty brand’s suncae products,which are all UVA and UVB, so protect from the harmful rays, and the ageing rays of the sun. There are three 50ml tubes – Solar Protect Glow SPF30, a high protection suncream for the face, Solar Revive Gel, an aftersun scented with neroli oil and tiare flower, and Solar Haircare Shampoo, a shampoo especially formulated for use after a long day in the sun, the sea, or the pool.
