Go Totally Tropical with Bourjois

Bourjois’s summer collection is everything I want from fun summer makeup. The Totally Tropical collection is on-rend, with anything and everything tropical being huge this summer (even more than usual, because aren’t flamingos and palm trees pretty perennial in summer trends, anyway!?).

It consists of just a few products, all of them fun, and in this instance all of them pretty handy for any type of holiday from clubbing on Ibiza, festivalling at Glastonbury, or just a regular two-week break in Tenerife.

My favourite product from this collection is the Contour Clubbing Waterproof Eye Pencil (£4.99). It comes in three new shades, one of which, Sea Blue Soon, I used in my beachy beauty picture post this week. I love it in the waterline of the model in the campaign image. The other shades are Denim Pulse, a matte navy, and Kaki’smatique, the on-trend shade for this summer. Perfect for beach, festival, club and more, this liner is so creamy, and soft.

The mascara in the collection, is, of course, waterproof. And, er, 100% sweatproof, apparently, for clubbers! The Limited Edition Tropical Festival Volume Clubbing Mascara (£7.99) comes in Ultra Black. The massage is housed in a case covered in pretty tropical print, as is the bronzer.

Bourjois’s iconic Tropical Festival Delice De Poudre Chocolate Bronzing Powder (£7.99) ,in shade 52, is perfect for adding to your tan, and best applied to forehead, nose and hollows of the cheeks for a sunkissed look.

I’ve never tried a Bourjois Nail Colour (well, okay, maybe I have, like, a decade ago, but not in recent times), so I can;t comment on the durability of these 1 Seconde Nail Polish (£5.99) shades, but I do love the colours. Although saddled with the ridiculous Kakidyllic for a name, the green is on-trend, so buy it! The pink (faring better as Fuchsianista) is a bright, bold tropical shade. Perfect for toes too.

The lovely, perfect summer coral shade – Lolli Poppy – is courtesy of a crayon – the Color Boost Lip Crayon (£7.99) which has an SPF15, is moisturising, and waterproof. And it’s a crayon – I do love a beauty crayon.

The Bourjois Tropical Festival Summer Collection is available from June 8, in Superdrug and Boots.
