Aveda Lights The Way
The clocks go forward this weekend, so the nights get lighter – but that doesn’t mean there’s no room for a little more light thanks to Aveda’s 2016 Earth Month Light The Way Candle.
Aveda enters its 10th year this year of shining a light on the global need for clean water. Aveda – and their customers (although Aveda seem to want us to call them guests…) – have globally raised over $38 million dollars for this great cause. Since 2007, Aveda has raised over $11million just from sales of this candle.
During Earth Month – April – you can help by purchasing a candle, and lighting it, scenting and filling your room with light, and changing lives.
As part of Earth Month in the UK, Aveda will donate 100% of the RRp of the candle to Global Greengrants, a non-profit organisation that channels high-impact grants to grassroots group working to solve environmental problems all around the world. Every purchase can help to provide six months of clean drinking water for a family of six in India – proceeds from a single year’s light the way candles provided $28,943 to fix the water system for the 800 residents of Umbari, India; it should last for 20 years. So each $12 candle translates into 6 months of water for a family of 6.
