New Michael Kors fragrances

More fragrance this Friday, this time from Michael Kors. One is out now,the other is coming in March, so this is a sneak peek.

Sexy Sunset (not sure I am in love with that name) is, of course, inspired by the ‘radiant glow of a sunset’.

It has top notes of Nashi pear, blackcurant, freesia and lotus flower accord. The heart beats with peony, gardenia, rose bouton, magnolia  and jasmine sambac. The dry down is sandalwood, helvetolide, cedarwood and vanilla.

It opens, therefore, with a citrus burst, but the heart is very sophisticated floral and the dry down is sultry. It’s very Michael Kors, as one might expect.

However, it’s not quite as classic Michael Kors as Coral EDP, which launches exclusively at Harrods from March 13, and then nationwide, from March 30.

Michael Kors Coral

This has that unmistakeable Michael-ness, thanks to that tuberose at the core of the fragrance. It’s combined with raspberry, orange flower and jasmine, of course, and those blend with top notes of lemon and grapefruit, for, again, an incredibly citrus burst to the fragrance.

The dry down on this one features warm ambrox, cedarwood, and sandalwood, as well as musk, which gives it that velvety texture to the fragrance.

The signature bottle is lovely, with a brilliant coral gloss finish and the gold Michael Kors logo, of course.

Michael Kors Sexy Sunset EDP, 30ml, 50ml, 100ml, £39, £58, £79, available now, and Michael Kors Coral EDP, 30ml, 50ml, 100ml, £39, £58, £79, available from March.
