Ellie Goulding for MAC

1 min read

I am not the biggest fan of Ellie Goulding. I don’t really like her voice, and she, well, she kind of just irritates. However, I am a fan of her collection with MAC. It’s lovely. It’s very, well, Ellie Goulding. Very nude and neutral. But…I really like it.

It’s a surprise for a bold, bight, red-lipstick loving makeup fan like me, but I appreciate the beauty in these lovely neutrals, which have an added punch to them.

This collection has been around for a month or so now, and it is Limited Edition, so be quick if you want it. The core product is the Halcyon Days and Halcyon Nights palettes (£39.50). The Days palette, pictured here, but not fully open (underneath there is a Medium Dark Blot Pressed Powder), contains Root Cream Colour Base, Tint Cream Colour Base, Wished I Stayed Cream Colour Base, and Every Time You Go Colour Base – gorgeous creamy colours to play with. The Nights palette contains colour base and eyeshadows for a more powerful look.

Ellie Goulding for MACThe lovely Powder Blush Duo in I’ll Hold My Breath (£23), is a medium warm bronze/peachy pink pearl (matte/satin) combo. MAC’s PatentPolish Lip Pencil (£19) is back, in two shades, Innocent and Revved Up (pictured). And there are two Lipsticks (£17) in Only You, and Without Your Love  – that’s the one I have here, and it’s a lovely warm seashell pink.

The packaging features Ellie’s logo in a lovely rose gold.
