NEW Benefit POREfessional Weapons!

Benefit launch two new weapons in their fight against pores at the end of this month, and I just love the creativity of this little franchise in the Benefit brand.

The POREfessional lauched a few years ago, the original primer, and with these two new additions, that makes five in the line.

First up is the Invisible-Finish Mattifying Gel the POREfessional Matte Rescue. It’s a lightweight, water-based gel which ‘instantly overpowers shine’. It absorbs excess surface oil, leaving you with a matte finish.

If you are bothered with oily skin, then a mattifier is a great investment. The secret ingredient (or TOP SECRET pore ingredient, as Benefit call it) in this is diamond powder, which is known for its soft-focus, pore-blurring capabilities.

You apply a think layer of this all over a freshly cleansed face, then you do your other makeup prep steps.

So, after you have cleansed and moisturised, add this, then pat The POREfessional primer (or one of your choice), on top. Pores, shine and fine lines are now bound to be less visible, and makeup will glide on smoothly.

Benefit tested this on 66 women over one week and 93% of them said it mattifies skin instantly, 92% said skin feels clean and refreshed, and 89% said it absorbs excess surface oil.

I have dry skin, so it’s not one for me, but if you are a Benefit fan, and your skin needs some mattifying help, then this one is for you.

The second new product to the line are Super-Cleaning Pore Masks The POREfessional: Instant Wipeout. You can’t help but be enthralled by the packaging here. Theses little mask sachets come in a cute little super agent attache case. Love it!

The dual-sided masks clean out and smooth the look of pores around your nose, forehead and chin. The special textured fabric helps exfoliate and remove pure impurities. The not-so-secret ingredient here is mushroom exteact, known to clarify pores.

These are a little gimmicky, but I do like them – and they’re so easy to use. Pop the button to rleases the serum onto the mask, then remove from packaging, place smooth side down and leave for 10 minutes, then flip it over, and use the other side to massage in and wipe off. Don’t rinse!
