Clarins Super Restorative New Launches
Clarins Super Restorative range is targeted at women aged 45+ and in the new year adds two new products to its range – Super Restorative Hand Cream, and Super Restorative Decollete and Neck Concentrate.
Let’s star with the latter. The decollete and neck is an area of the body often exposed to external agression, yet often neglected in women’s daily skin care routines. The skin here is very fine, therefore showing signs of ageing first. Natural ageing, the stopping of hormonal activity and lack of protection can cause wrinkles, slackening and pigmentation on the skin’s surface.
So, this concentrate aims to fight the effects of gravity and gradually strengthen and regain the plump look of younger skin. It will do this – or attempt to do this – by using a combination of powerful plant extracts and other key ingredients.
Both the neck and hand cream have the same two key ingredients – organic harungana, and Montpellier rock-rose extracts. The harungana is the ‘healing tree’ from Madagascar. It reactivates hormone deprived fibroblasts which help replenish and restore substance to the dermis.
If the fibroblast is returned to its initial shape, collagen production will be stimulated and things improve! That’s the hope behind this science anyway!
The Montpellier rock-rose, or the Phoenix Plant,helps with reducing the age-related dark spots, another real issue for older skin.
The neck cream also contains Organic oat Polyoses, to smooth, and Sunflower Auxins. These are the cells that give the sunflower’s stem the strength and flexibility to support a heavy flower, and follow the rotation of the sun. Apparently Clarins researchers used this biometric approach and noted that no key ingredient was closer to the neck’s actual anatomy.Bizarre but true!
The hand cream contains Mango oil and shea butter, and organic baobab oil, for moisturisation, and strength.
