Bobbi Brown Sterling Nights Collection

This new collection from Bobbi Brown came out about a month ago, but if you haven’t seen it yet, have a look – it’s lovely for this time of year, and it has some interesting new products in it. Sterling Nights was inspired by a recent trip Bobbi had to South Africa, and the jewel-toned hues and star-studded skies she saw there.

The look is all about a rich, but diffused smokey eye, with flecks of gorgeous shimmer. Pair that eye with luminous cheeks and a nude, or brightly-coloured lip. Perfect party makeup.

As ever, the hero product of the collection is a palette. The Sterling Nights Eye Palette (£59) is housed in a lovely black compact, and has nine shadows which range from matte neutrals to rich, sparkle-infused hues for brilliant dimension. The different colours and textures flatter all skin tones and you can layer them for a day-to-night transition – essential at this time of year.

The shades are Ivory Eye Shadow, Moon Glow Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow, Thistle Metallic Eye Shadow, Dove Grey Eye Shadow, NEW Pink Moonlight Metallic Eye Shadow, Smoke Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow, Midnight Sparkle Eye Shadow, Caviar Eye Shadow, Pewter Chrome Eye Shadow.

Team the palette with the NEW Black Ivy shade of Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner (£18.50). So easy to use, this fab epencil version of the gel eyeliner is a gorgeous deep evergreen shade.

The most exciting part of this collection is the new Sequin Eye Shadow (£25). There are four shades – Constellation, Comet, Star Beam, and Moon Rock.

Beautiful marbleised shades that are Bobbi’s most intensely shimmering eye shadows to date. The baked, heavily pigmented pearl-infused formula provides a lightweight velvety texture that applies really easily. So, you can wear each shade alone, or you can layer them to create a multidimensional effect. They each come in a compact with mirror.

For lips, there are four new Limited Edition shades of Lip Color (£20). These lovely colours include Vixen Red, a festive classic, an everyday nude, called, er, Nude, and two vibrant, bright orange shades, Lady Ruba, and Atomic Orange.

Finally, the new and Limited Edition Face Highlighter (£26). This liquid highlighter, which comes in three shades – Pink, Seashell and Sunlight Bronze – gives cheeks sheer, but buildable radiance.

Its silky, lightweight texture, and light-reflective pearls give you a lovely natural, fresh sheen.

So, you apply this at the end of your makeup application, on top of your foundation, or mix it with your moisturiser for an all-over glow.

It comes in a cute glass bottle with a pump dispenser.

I love this product for its convenience, and it does give a beautiful finish to your skin for the party season, when, let’s face it, we can all look a wee bit tired!
