Origins Three Part Harmony Range

Origins have a huge launch this month – their new Three Part Harmony range for mature skin. This one is aimed at skin that’s 50+ and comprises – at the moment – two products, a cream and a serum.

The number one concern in mature skin is dryness, and products you like when you hit 50+ tend to be more luxurious and indulgent. The three concerns that have prompted the range’s name are Repair, Renewal and Radiance.

Apparently skin over 50 experiences a sleeping state referred to as a ‘senescence’ which causes ageing skin to beome less funcational, including more pronounced dehydration. These damaged cells releases a chain of negative signals discouraging normal cell function which leads to less lipid, collagen and fiber production.

So, you can head for the surgery, or you can try targeted skincare. Origins scoured the world to find a natural youth-igniter and discovered the White Narcissus Lily Bulb in the fertile soil of the Eastern Mediterranean, and have harnessed that powder in this range.

This lily bulb has the ability to awaken itself from senescence, so it’s perfect for this range.

The formula also features a cocktail of hydrators and youth renewers that restore that youthful longevity, including youth activating Japanese knotweed and myrtle extract, and collagen-boosting vitamin C and licorice leaf extract.

It also contains scutelleria root for radiance, and apple extract for luminosity.Origins Three Party Harmony Serum

Now, I am not 50+ yet, but I do have dry skin, and so I have really enjoyed trialling the Three Part Harmony Nourishing Cream, which is really, really, very rich BUT – it isn’t thick.

It’s nothing like an old-school cold-cream, or any other rich, thick cream you would expect to slather on to dry, mature skin.

It is a lovely cream, smells delightful, thanks to an essential oil blend of rose, violet and jasmine.

The Three Part Harmony Oil-Infused Serum  is also very rich, quite lotion-like, but not heavy at all, despite the fact that there is oil in there.

The packaging is luxe, with the faux wooden tops, and simple neutral glass bottles.

If you have any woman 50+ in your life, then treat them to this lovely indulgent skincare. They will most definitely thank you for it!
