MAC Haute Dogs
Ha! I love the name of this collection from MAC, and the campaign images are just brilliant. So, if you are a canine lover, you’ll love this post – full of Haute Dogs. And you don’t get more high-fashion in a dog than an Afghan Hound or a Poodle, right?!
MAC’s fun collection is actually very, very sophisticated. A gorgeous collection of nudes and neutrals, one of this autumn/winter’s key fashion and beauty looks. How fantastic is this image?!
The collection is all about warm beiges, sculpting the face, adding pops of winter berry, and rich, creamy, camels and nudes.
There are three lovely Mineralize Eyeshadow eye quads (£34) – lovely shadow palettes in complementary autumnal shades. The names are Pure Bred, A Glimmer of Gold and Posh Pedigree.
Also for eyes, there are the usual Fluidline (£16), and Veluxe Brow Liner (£16), to create the structured beautiful eyemakeup and eyebrows that are required this autumn/winter. But think of browns and berry shades, as opposed to harsh blacks.
For lips, this lovely collection has rich and creamy nudes, as well as blushes and berries, in Mineralize Rich Lipstick (£21) – I love deep claret red, Nose For Style, and mid-tone pinky nude, Rare Breed is a lovely neutral shade. Use liner with this look to get a perfect pout. If lipgloss is your thing, there are some lovely Mineralize Glass (£20) shades to choose from. My pick? Pale nude Lap Dog, and deep burgundy-plum Dressed to the K9s.
For the face, use the beautiful, subtle sheer of Mineralize Skinfinish powders (£24), in two shades, and the great duo innovative Sculpting Powder/Shaping Powder (£18.50).
This great duo comes in four shades, and is perfect for sculpting and creating those contours on the face, to give that structured look, easily.
Finally, the collection has three lovely Studio Nail Lacquer (£10) shades – the brilliantly named Very Important Poodle, a lovely nude, is my favourite!
With this gorgeous collection, you’ll definitely be best in show! (Sorry! I couldn’t resist…)
MAC Haute Dogs is available from all MAC locations and maccosmetics.co.uk from September 3. There are online previews from August 27.
