Clinique Sculptwear Lift and Contour

Clinique’s latest launches focus on lifting and contouring – sculpting that face. No-one wants to mention saggy jowls, let alone have them! But, as time progresses, things do tend to head south. Beauty products are here to help!

There are two new products, and a new head for your Clinique Sonic System. First up, that new head for your Sonic. The new Sonic System Massaging Treatment Applicator (£20) has been developed to use in tandem with the new Sculptwear Contouring Massage Cream Mask (£36).

Clinique new Sculptwear Contouring Massage Cream and Sonic Brush Massage Head

The idea is to massage the cream into the skin with the applicator. It’s a brilliant idea, and it really does feel like you are applying your product properly.

You use a generous amount of the cream, and sweep the massage applicator from your chin, across the jawline to the ear, repeating on both sides. Then from the coner of the mouth, sweep up along one cheek in a circular motion, then the next cheek. Then you bring it toward the jawline and chin, and down the neck to finish.

You can then reapply product to the applicator then press the button for an additional 30 seconds. This is for forehead and temple areas, massaging them with small circular motions. Finish between the brow area, where the tension lines are most visible, and move the tool up and down gently.

It’s very, very fast, but when you do it three times a week, you will see the difference. You can use the cream along, as a mask, leaving it on for 5-10 minutes, then tissue off and massage in any residual cream.

The Massage Cream itself contains skin conditioning agents like olive squalane and jojoba oil for moClinique Sculptwear Lift and Contour Serumisturisation, sodium hyaluronate for instant moisture, sweet almond seed extract, a polysacride which provides a tightening sensation on the skin, and an optics blend of titanium dioxide, mica and nylon-12 to provide a pink glow that helps deiver radiant skin. These ingredients give the hydration, tightening and radiance.

For the long-term lifting and firming, the cream contains a smoothing/firming complex which includes bamboo extract, pea extract and glucosamine, which helps to increase natural production of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin.

Chlorellagen derived from green algae helps with stimulating elastin and collagen production, and whey protein, rich in amino acids, essential to initiating the development of new skin.

To maximise your toning and firming routine, there is the Sculptwear Lift and Contour Serum for Face and Neck (£46, 30ml, 65, 50ml)

This targets three areas where you might need help – firming and sculpting the cheeks, tightening and toning the jawline, and reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles in the neck.

Something called PolySculpt technology will help with this, as it includes Sweet Almond Seed Extract, Red Algae Extract and Soybean Seed Extract. Clary Sage and Coffee Seed help to support the skin’s structure and boost skin’s natural energy.

Use the serum twice daily, before your moisturiser, and also on the days you do the massage.

All of these product are available now, exclusively, at John Lewis and Brown Thomas counters nationwide.

They’ll be available at other limited Clinique counters from September 4, but won’t be available at all Clinique counters, or at clinique.co.uk, until May 2016.
