Off to Le Disko with MAC...
MAC have reinvented the disco for this summer – well, okay, they’ve not really, they’ve just added a Le before it, and changed the C to a K. But – they have invented a pretty amazing Studio 54 inspired shimmery, summer make up range!
Le Disko, on counters in July, is bang on-trend this summer, with that 1970 vibe everywhere. This is the disco part of the 70s – think Bianca Jagger, Studio 54, glittery eyelids, and dazzling, glossy, lips.
You might think this is more Christmas than summer, but let the inner disco queen out and embrace the shimmer and glitter with no less than twelve fantastic shimmery shades of Dazzleshadow (£16). From light peaches and beiges, to deep blue greens, dark greys, and gorgeous shimmery purples, these brilliant eye colours have all sorts of sparkle about them.
And the names are disco-perfection. Last Dance, Let’s Boogie, Can’t Stop, Don’t Stop, Get Physical and Feel the Fever, anyone?
There are two brilliant shades of Superslick Liquid Eyeliner (£18) – Nocturnal, a bright silver pearl, and Pure Show, a bright yellow-gold pearl.
Finally, there are five shades of shimmery Dazzleglass (£17.50) lip gloss to slick on for that 1970s vibe. Rollergirl is a gorgeous nude with pink pearl, but Cherry Popping, a bold fuchsia with purple pearl is my favourite.
