Bobbi Brown's Telluride Collection

So, in Bobbi Brown’s last collection, Sandy Nudes, there was a Telluride bronzer. I was wondering what on earth the name meant, and well, whadda ya know, it’s a place! Not just any place, but one of Bobbi Brown’s favourite places, a pretty little ski resort in Colorado.

And it’s pronounced Tell-You-Ride, I am reliably informed (Google). And, if you want to know why Bobbi Brown loves this place, and here favourite places there, there’s a nice blog post you can read on her official blog, Everything Bobbi. Nestled  amongst soaring mountains in Colorado, Telluride is famous for its natural beauty, making it a constant source of inspiration for Bobbi.

So, what’s the collection like?

Each product in this collection is designed to deliver the gorgeous glow that the late afternoon sun in Telluride casts on the skin. Featuring the luminous shades of tawny nude, rose gold, and bronzy pink, this collection makes it easy toachieve
that sought-after natural, sun-kissed glow. It’s perfect for summer, and transitions beautifully into the autumn.

There’s a Shimmer Brick (£33), of course, in Sunset Pink, an instant pick me-up shade that warms the complexion. Superfine pure pearl pigments reflect radiance and light, creating an all-over sun-touched look.

Also for the cheeks (and lips) are two new shades of Bobbi’s best-selling Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks (£19.50) – Telluride, and Maui.

At the heart of the collection is the new Telluride Eye Palette (£39.50) with seven brilliant sunset-inspired shades that deliver a range of brilliant eye looks. Eyeshadows in a variety of brown, soft blush and mauve hues, this palette is a fresh take on a neutral eye—a major makeup trend from Autumn/Winter 2015 New York Fashion Week.

For lips, there are three Lip Trios (£39) that Bobbi has recommended for this look – the Twilight Glow Lip Trio, Pink Dusk Lip Trio and Sunset Pink Lip Trio. Each trio consists of a Sheer Lipstick, a Lip Pencil, and a Lip Gloss in complementary shades.

All of them are beautiful, natural, enhancing shades, and it’s quite lovely, buying things in a wee set like this. Any of these trios would make a lovely gift too, agreed?
