Stress-Fix with Aveda - new products
Hooray for Aveda Stress-Fix. You know all those stories you hear about weddings being stressful things to plan? Yeah, the ones I dismissed as rubbish. Well, turns out they’re true. I get married one month today and it can’t come quickly enough! I am thrilled to be getting hitched, but if I could drink these products right now, I would!
Aveda has added two more lovely products to its Stress-Fix line – a Creme Cleansing Oil and a Composition Oil. In an Aveda UK nationwide survey, 63% of women said that their sleep is affected by stress on a day to day basis. And over 40% of those women admit to feeling stressed at least once a day. Oh well, I am not alone, at least!
Stress Fix: Stress-Fix™ Creme Cleansing Oil and Stress-Fix Composition Oil™ both feature the signature aroma of Lavender, Lavindin and Clary Sage, proven to reduce feelings of stress.

And the best bit is you can de-stress with these products in your own bathroom.
The fragrance was developed with world-renowned Clinical Aromao
logist, Pierre Franchomme and the Aveda Botanical Aroma Lab.
It blends essences of certified organic, calming French Lavender, uplifting, blues-chasing Clary Sage (a Mediterranean herb) and relaxing, mood-enhancing Lavindin (a hybrid of true and spike lavender).
It smells so good, and you do feel relaxed when you inhale the scent, trust me!
Aveda partnered with Plantes Aromatiques du Diois to source the herbs from small organic farms in the village of Vercheny in the South of France to ensure the highest quality essential oils that can be fully traced from Soil to Bottle..
“One can relieve stress through the sense of smell,” says Guy Vincent, Aveda’s Head Perfumer.
“When you inhale aroma molecules, an electric impulse is sent to the limbic system of the brain that is associated with memory and emotions and creates a psychological reaction.
“An impulse is also sent to the hypothalamus, which controls the stress cycle in the body, and can create a physiological reaction.
“All three of these essential oils used in the Stress-Fix products have relaxing aromas which have traditionally been inhaled to help reduce feelings of stress.”
The Creme Cleansing Oil is perfect for evening showers before bed, or a relaxing morning wake-up. Enriched with a nourishing plant oil blend, it gently cleanses.
The formula is 99% naturally-derived with a plant oil blend including Babassu Betaine – a babassu-derived surfactant to gently cleanse the skin, and Certified organic Sunflower and Babassu oil, containing a high level of essential fatty acids – key components of skin’s natural lipids- to help skin retain its own moisture.
The Composition Oil is a brilliant product, with so many uses. It’s 100% naturally-derived, and contains a nourishing plant oil blend of certified organic Sunflower and Jojoba oils that moisturise skin and leave it feeling soft and looking radiant.
All of the Aveda Composition Oils have brilliant multi-functionality.
So, you can use this after a shower or bath as a moisturiser, just massage 304 drops into damp skin. You can add 3-4 drops to running bath water and relax. Use it as a stress-relieveing and aromatic massage oil for scalp and body, or layer it under the other Stress-Fix body products.
Or, for body exfoliation, apply the oil to damp skin, sprinkle on some Stress-Fix Soaking Salts, and massage in circular motions, then rinse.
I will be doing all of the above with the whole range, I think, before my wedding next month!
