Beauty ... & Other Stories
Hands up who wants an & Other Stories store in Scotland! I thought so. Loads of us! It’s a great fashion store with great collaborations, or co-labs, as they like to call them.
The most recent, launching today is with Rachel Antonoff, and I’m here to talk about the beauty part of it, which features none other than Lena Dunham of Girls fame.
But, let’s talk a little bit about the clothes first. With ‘campaign’ as a concept, the Rachel Antonoff co-lab features a collection suitable for all sorts of occasions, everything from the more laid-back moments to the dressed up events, that take place when running a campaign.
All quite relevant given our recent election, and the First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon’s, popularity.
“I love the idea of a driven, smart girl running for an unknown office and created a collection around the different aspects of her day to day life on the trail,” says Rachel Antonoff.
“I imagined it could be as large as a presidential or congress campaign and as small as secretary of her local stamp enthusiast society. Loving the vision of our girl strategizing while still in her tennis clothes.”
This is the cute and clever film that goes with this ‘campaign’ – the advertising for this collection. And it is directed by Lena Dunham, who is also dating rachel’s brother.
The beauty collection features two lip colours and a box set of three nail colours, perfectly coordinating with the clothes. 
Each colour is named after a friend of Rachel’s.

So, the good news is that the clothes and beauty co-lab with Rachel Antonoff are available online, so despite no store up here, we can get our hands on the goods!
