Turnaround, with Clinique

Whenever I read or write about Clinique’s Turnaround range, Bonnie Tyler’s classic 80s hit, Total Eclipse of the Heart comes into my mind… Bonnie sang ‘turn around, bright eyes’, but lovers of this range might sing ‘Turnaround, bright skin’ because that’s effectively what it does. it turns your dull skin around, bringing back the radiance we all desire.

There are now five products in the range, with the very recent addition of two new products – the Turnaround Revitalizing Treatment Oil (£30), and the Turnaround Daytime Revitalizing Moisturizer (£30). These complete the range for now, alongside the Overnight Revitalising Moisturizer (£36), the Revitalizing Serum (from £37), and the Revitalizing Instant Facial (£35) (which we blogged about the other month).

The new Treatment Oil is lightweight and nourishing, revitalises, retextures skin, which in turn restores brilliance, luminosity and smoothness.

Dry skin is soothed instantly and over time. But it’s great for all skin types. It contains Salicylic Acid for gentle exfoliation, Clary Extract to help regulate and normalise the cell renewal process, Pomegranate Sterols to help strengthen the skin’s barrier, Olive Oil to soften dehydrated skin, Mango Seed Oil for nourishment, Vitamin E and Vitamin C for antioxodant properties, Lady Thistle Oil for skin conditioning, and Cranberry Seed Oil to help against daily aggressors, such as pollution and sun exposure.

You apply it one of three ways. You can use it on its own; drop 2-3 drops of oil in hands, warm and pat it into the skin. Or, for extra oomph a few drops of oil can be mixed in hands with your daily moisturiser for an added boost of nourishment. Or, you can get added radiance by adding the oil to the Turnaround moisturisers.

Or – yes there is more – you can add it to your skin after your daily moisturiser as it ‘seals in’ everything that has been applied and leaves you with an extra dewy glow.

The new Daytime Moisturizer in this range is lightweight, oil-ree and helps control excess oil where needed, and brightens up the skin, particularly sallow skin. It contains Caffeine to help boost the skin’s energy, Laminaria Saccharina Extract to deliver that radiance without shine, and Hyaluronic Acid to help the skin create more moisture. But the main thing about this new product that is interesting is that it is slightly tinted.

There are two natural hues, Rosy Glow and Golden GLow. You can wear this alone or under a foundation.
