#nobodysperfect say Clarins

3 min read

Clarins want to remind us all that everybody is different, or more specifically everybody’s body is different, and, more importantly, it’s okay not to be perfect.

This is all part of an offer that runs throughout the month of March at Clarins, and involves all their lovely body care products.

You can get a full Clarins body care consultation at any Clarins counter nationwide, and during March you will receive a complimentary Exfoliating Body Scrub, 100ml, and Tonic Bath and Shower Concentrate, 100ml, when you purchase of any Clarins Body Care product.

So, what can you buy? And do you have a body care routine? I am first to put my hands up and say I am guilty of neglecting my poor body. Whilst I am happy to spend time on facial skincare, I am, like many of us, a bit remiss when it comes to exfoliating, moisturising, etc, on my body.

Not having time is the classic excuse, but, as Clarins points out, with 1440 minutes in each day, we’re not going to miss five minutes taking care of our body, are we? So, let’s rekindle our love affair with body products with a few of the best from Clarins.

Clarins #nobodysperfect

Exfoliating Body Scrub (£29)

This lovely scrub uses bamboo silica microparticles and polyethylene microbeads to exfoliate, licorice root, mimosa and candeia tree bark extracts, to calm and soothe, and cyamopsis seeds and shea butter to condition. It feels lovely and smooth, and is easy to rinse off. Oh, and it smells amazing.

Tonic Bath & Shower Concentrate (£20)

This is bright blue, which is a bit odd, but I do love this product. Contains a potent blend of juniper, pine, St John’s wort and arnica to tone, firm and energise your skin. Coconut cleanses, and the lovely essential oils are rosewood, geranium, peppermint and rosemary.

Renew-Plus Body Serum (£40)

This is an anti-ageing product for the body. It contains pre-retinol, which tranforms into active retino by enzymes naturally present in the skin, it works to improve the skin’s structure and texture and stimulated collagen fibres which maintain skin’s firmness.

You need to use this regularly. Within 24 hours of using the skin tone becomes more even, and imperfections begin to fade. Within a few days the dry rough skin that we all know and hate on the back of the arms, thighs and buttocks smoothes. Hooray! And you use this before your moisturiser, as you would with facial skincare.

Extra-Firming  Body Lotion (£41)

This is the bit we all seem to skip. But if you have to miss the serum step above, don’t miss this! This lovely body lotion is perfect for firming and toning. It contains lemon thyme extract which encourages the production of Emilin-1 – this protein maintains the stretchy quality of the skin’s elastic fibres. That means firmer, more supple skin.

Body Lift Cellulite Control (£37)

As far as anti-cellulite products go, this one is pretty good. I’m not sure if they really do work, but there really is no harm in trying, is there!? It’s a lightweight gel texture, and I blogged about it on here when it launched. It works best when used before exercise, so apply it before you head to the gym. It’s formulated with eight plant extracts, and ats at all stages of the formation of adipose tissue(the stuff that creates cellulite) to reduce cellulite, and prevent the formation of more.

So, which body products are your favourites? All products mentioned are available at Clarins counters, and clarins.co.uk
