NEW DKNY Men and Women Fragrance
DKNY seem to release a new version of their Men and Women fragrances pretty regularly, or maybe it just seems that way. I have to admit I don’t normally pay that much attention to them – they’re not my favourite EDTs, if I am honest.
However, the latest incarnations are actually really nice! I know, I shouldn’t sound so surprised!
Let’s start with the new DKNY Women Limited Edition – it’s billed as ‘energising, wild and sexy’.
It has notes of spearmint, sweet orange and grapefruit, so is very fruity, and fresh at first sniff. There are florals at the heart – lily, carnation and lush tiare, which deepen it slightly.
And then, it dries down into a rich, sensual scent with patchouli, vanilla and fir balsam as the base notes. It’s a lovely spring into summer scent.
The DKNY Men Limited Edition is, I have to admit, even nicer. It’s fresh, uplifting, and, although smells classically masculine, it has that freshness that could make it easily a unisex scent.
Exhilarating juniper berry and mandarin and nutmeg are the top notes. The heart has a unique combination of lavender, clary sage, and pomegranate.
The dry down is classic – tonka, musk and patchouli, giving it a lovely warmth. Both of these, as ever, come in HUGE bottles – 100ml only, but they just look so big, thanks to their elongated design!
