Flamboyage: a groundbreaking colour technique exclusive to Glasgow salon
First there was ombre. Then there was balayage. Now there’s flamboyage?
If you haven’t heard of flamboyage don’t worry. It’s a new colour technique that is only being offered in two salons in Scotland, one of which is in Glasgow. Said Glasgow salon is Andersons in the Merchant City who have recently joined 5pm Spa & Beauty.
Flamboyage is different from other hair colouring methods as the colour is painted on in isolation using an adhesive strip provided by Davines, the Italian hair care line.
Low maintenance colour
The result is a low maintenance colour that doesn’t have the harsh lines created by traditional hair colour methods like foil highlights. It can be as natural as or as striking as you like. For example, our sales coordinator Andrea visited Andersons and got subtle gold tones to highlight her dark hair, while others have used the flamboyage to add pastel colours to their hair.
Flamboyage is patented by Davines and they must give the salon permission to carry out flamboyage which is why it is a real coup for a salon in Glasgow (the other Scottish salon is in Perth) to be able to offer this treatment.
Environmentally friendly salon
Andersons’ other unique selling point is their environmental friendly focus. The salon only uses Davines products, which are free of parabens and sulphates. All the decor in the salon is made from upcycled wood and metal and when the salon opened they planted plants which will grow and evolve as the salon does.
So if you’re looking for a groundbreaking colour treatment in a salon that 100% respects the environment, make sure to check our Andersons in Glasgow’s Merchant City.
