Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel

THE BROW IS NOW. That’s the message from Illamasqua and who are we to argue? Eyebrows are big news – and we mean literally, as well – the bigger the better for some.  Maybe barely brushed brows, are your thing?  Or are you a Scouse brow fan? Whatever brow you love, Illamasqua can deliver, with their brilliant new Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel.
“Brows are definitely here to stay. Many love eyebrow definition for its lifting properties. Enhanced brows immediately lift the entire face, knocking years off within seconds,” says Illamasqua Head of Training, Daniel Busuttil.  “Brow enhancement is also popular as it’s a great way to match brows to new hair colour or to fill naturally sparse brows.”

The key to drawing in a perfectly shaped brow is accuracy and that’s where Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel comes in. Naturally defined brows can be achieved in an instant with its water-resistant, cream/gel formulation that comes in a range of wearable, versatile shades for multiple skin and hair tones.

Precision Brow Gel is very different to powders and pencils as you can draw finer hairs and the result is so realistic! The biggest advantage of using a gel comes down to that all important detail.” Daniel says.

So, what’s it actually like. Let me tell you this one thing about it – it’s BOLD. Be careful, you do not need a lot. But, it gives the most amazing colour and definition to brows. I used the Illamasqua Angled Brush (£19) to create quite a bold brow with the gel in shade Glimpse, which is for auburn brows. My brows badly need threaded, but you can see the depth of colour and coverage this gel gives.

Daniel shared his tips on how to achieve brow shape with us: “When drawing in brow hairs, always apply in the same direction your eye brow hairs naturally grow,” he said. “Start by using Illamasqua Angled Brush (£19) and from the inner corner of the eye, fill in between the natural brow hairs, moving upwards towards the arch of the brow. Then continue application from the arch moving outwards towards the end of the brow. The cream gel texture blends in effortlessly.”

If you prefer a more natural look, you can achieve the effect of realistic fine hairs by using the Illamsqua Fine Liner Brush (£19)

To draw finer hairs, start from below the arch of the brow moving outwards towards the tip,” says Daniel. “You can also draw in fine hairs at the beginning of the brow to give the illusion of a ‘naturally un-groomed’ shape.”

The new Precision Brow Gel comes in four shades, Awe (for blonde brows), Glimpse (for auburn brows), Stare (for ebony brows) and Strike (for brunette brows), and costs £18.50, from Illamasqua counters and illamasqua.com, available now.
