Estee Lauder New Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil

So, this is another launch that isn’t a brand new product, but an upgraded, improved version. Estee Lauder have just made their Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil a lot better. Which is great.

But how have they made it better? Well, it’s the same popular formula, with some added extras. It now includes a water-resistant claim, an improved silicone smudge tip, and an updated collection of shades.

It’s a very creamy eye pencil, yet it sets quickly to provide good coverage, with very little movement. It does glide on with just one stroke, and it is blendable when it is first on, but be quick if you want a smudged look, as it won’t let you smudge it for long.

I have to say that I do have a somewhat difficult time with eye pencils. I never know whether I like the look they give me, or not. I don’t love the smudged thing – I’d rather use shadow. But they are hugely versatile, and when they come in this varied range of colours, they are brilliant as an eyeshadow substitute, or if you just want to make a line your statement, and not a full lid.

They contain Vitamin E and jojoba oil, which explains their softness, gentle application and wear. There are 12 continuous shades in the collection, and four limited edition rich, jewel-toned shades, mattes and shimmers.

Choose from standard blacks and browns and navy, to bold blues of varying shades, neutral and gold tones.
