Smashbox Double Exposure Palette

1 min read

When I first saw this palette last month, I thought ‘wow’. It’s a heck of a palette, beauty fans. And, the cleverest bit of all? It’s all in the name. It’s called the Smashbox Double Exposure Palette because 14 shadows transform into 28  with just a little water.

And, they really do transform, remarkably. Some of them get more vibrant, some get deeper, some turn metallic and others sparkle! The possibilities with this palette are endless. The eyeshadow quality is fantastic, and the colours are great. There is nothing too out-there, just a whole load of lovely neutrals, with a few deep shades thrown in for fun, and those metallics and sparkles.

It also comes with a great special double-ended brush for foolproof application. The domed side absorbs just the right amount of water for impactful colour, the angled side creates a precise line when wet, and a diffused line when dry.

For best reults, wet the brush, then press against your hand or a tissue to remove any excess water, then dip into the pan. Do not use a soaking wet brush!

I love that this palette was inspired by the real photography technique of ‘multiple exposure‘,” says Davis Factor, Smashbox founder and photographer. It’s when the camera shutter opens more than once to expose the film several times during a shot. You end up capturing a sequence that shows how a moment transforms – it’s really powerful. This palette is all about that power of transformation.”

So, if you want to have a whole load of new eye colours to play with, this palette is for you.
