Revlon Moisture Stain

Revlon have a new lip product out in August – the Moisture Stain. It’s a sort of gel-stain which is highly pigmented, but non-drying, and hydrating. They’re infused with Vitamin E and Aloe to help with that hydration.

I’m amazed at the amount of new lip product formulas that come out almost monthly. I’m a lipstick fan myself, old school, matte, richly pigmented and usually red! So, this is a new one on me, but it’s actually quite nice. It isn’t like a gloss. There’s no stickiness, like with a  lot of lipgloss stains, and the colours are good. I’m still not sure it’s going to be up there on my list of lip products, but if you like trying something new, then this is for you.

It reminded me a little bit of Rimmel Apocalips, which has a lot of pigment, a high shine, and isn’t sticky. It’s also reminiscent of YSL GLossy Stain, but has more of a gel formula than those.

There are 12 shades of this Revlon Moisture Stain, all named after cities around the world (bar one that is named after a country, India, and I am still puzzled as to why that is!)

I’ve been trying Milan Moment, pictured left, a sort of medium bold orange shade, not totally out of my comfort zone, perfectly summery, and chosen because I have family in Milan!
