Darphin's Vitalskin

Last week I was treated to a Darphin facial featuring one of their latest products , Vitalskin Relumping Energic Cream. More on the facial later, but first let’s look at the product.

Darphin research shows that, like your body, your skin has a metabolism that slows over time.

That’s not rocket science is it? We all know that ageing, and wrinkles in particular, are caused by the slowing down of collagen production. Collagen gives our skin that firmness and elasticity – take it away and wrinkles appear.

This new cream from Darphin  – the latest addition to the Vitalskin range – aims to renew and revive skin’s natural energy, promoting vitality and radiance in women aged 20 to 45. I fit that bracket by a few years, so bring it on, Darphin!

The Darphin Vitalskin Replumping Energic Cream helps to visibly energise the look of the skin with a quadruple action which will revitalise, hydrate, re-plump and nourish. This will support the skin’s natural metabolic process.

The Revitalising part comes from an oriental medicinal fruit called Sapindus Mukurossi and  a brown algae called Laminaria Digitat which make up Vitalskin’s bespoke Enerstim Complex.

This works on the skin’s natural energy, using a slow release system to replenish and rejuvenate the skin throughout the day, decreasing signs of fatigue and protecting against aggressors.

The Hydration comes from Apple, Watermelon and Lentils(!) These ingredients make up a new hydrating complex to optimise skin’s natural ability to re0hydrate and support the skin’s natural barrier.

Hyaluronic Acid maintains external hydration and rehydrate the skin’s surface layers to help with the Re-plumping, and good old shea butter completes the hydration effect, and gives us the Nourishing factor.

Use this cream as a moisturiser, on the face and neck, after your serum, both in the morning and the evening for best results. It’s quite light – so not for those who need a lot of skin nourishment, but it is good for normal to dry skin. It is a gorgeous texture, and it has an incredible, fresh, fruity smell from the Apple.
