My teenage self would have given the world for Aveda’s latest addition to their Smooth Infusion range!

Aveda Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight is an amazing new miracle cream that turns naturally curly hair into naturally straight hair. Okay, it doesn’t do it permanently, but it does do it for a few days at a time, and that’s good enough for me!

Naturally curly hair can be lovely, but it can also be a real pest. If we naturally curly-haired gals want that beachy, tousled look, we have to straighten out hair, and then re-wave it, to get that controlled look.

Frizz is the bane of our lives, our fringes curl up when we don’t want them to, and if we encounter humidity, or drizzly rain, our hair grows and grows.

So, even though poker straight hair isn’t where hair trends are at these days, we’d like a little shot at having straighter hair, more naturally.

So, thanks Aveda for this fab new product which will solve your quest for perfectly frizz-free, straight hair, without those damaging straightening irons!

(In a UK Aveda survey conducted on working women aged between 18-50, over 63% straightened their hair EVERY DAY, spending a minimum of 60 hours worth of straightening each year. Which is incredible.)

So, how does this new, miracle cream, work? It progressively loosens curls and sleekens kinks, with a unique cumulative effect. So, hair becomes straighter after each application, shaving off precious minutes spent blow-drying and straightening.

It doesn’t penetrate the hair shaft or modify the hair’s natural bonds, like chemical straighteners do. It works from the outside, adding an invisible surface layer to the hair that loosens the curls with each use.

It is made of naturally-derived plant fibres, which invisibly attach to each hair strand. A botanical humidity barrier of organic Cassava Root – which contains Tapioca Starch and Maize helps fend off the dreaded frizz – something women agreed was their number one hair gripe.

You don’t need a lot of this product – start with a penny sized amount and on towel-dried hair, apply it one section at a time, starting at the nape of the neck and working up to the mid-lengths using downward strokes before reaching the scalp.

Then blow-dry and you will see the difference. It smells lovely – featuring an Aveda aroma experience of a citrus-floral blend of Bergamot, Turkish Rose and Australian Sandalwood.
