Korres at Tesco Beauty
Who remembers the Korres shop in Glasgow’s Buchanan Galleries. I recall the launch night of the Greek brand’s stand-alone store – must have been about nine years ago now, maybe? Sadly, it didn’t last long, and Korres seemed to diappear from my radar, save from seeing it in a few local chemists.
The good news for Korres fans is that is it now being stocked in Tesco! It’s the latest luxury beauty brand to join Tesco’s premium beauty range (which includes the likes of Dr LeWinns, Clarins, Nip + Fab, Natio, Manuka Doctor and Dead Sea Spa Magik), and is in stores and at Tesco Beauty online.
Korres Black Pine
Korres was born out of Athens’ first ever homeopathic pharmacy and has been developed using all natural ingredients and formulations. I recall meeting some of the family behind the brand back in those Buchanan Galleries days, and was impressed with their ethos, and the products.
Tesco will stock the hero skin and body care lines. The Korres Wild Rose Skincare Collection is based on the benefits of Wild Rose, which include hydration, brightness, repairing fine lines and skin tone and exceptional moisturising properties.
The Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising and Brightening Cream (£20) was the first ever 24-hour natural moisturising cream on the market and remains a Korres best seller. The range also includes a Wild Rose Lip Butter (£8) and Wild Rose Exfoliating Cleanser (£18).
Korres introduced Black Pine Anti-Wrinkle Firming & Lifting Face Serum (£39) to its Black Pine collection last year. It’s the brand’s most powerful anti-ageing product with firming and lifting action for wrinkle reduction, skin elasticity and re-contouring.
Korres collaborated with the Institute of Biology of the Laboratory of Cell Proliferation and Ageing to investigate and harness the exceptional properties of Black Pine. The combination of black pine extract and pure polyphenol Epigalocatechin effectively firms the skin and, along with the other active ingredients, ensures outstanding results.This range also includes Black Pine Anti-Wrinkle And Firming Night Cream (£39) and Eye Cream (£36).
I do recall the gorgeous scent of the Basil and Lemon body range. Rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and antioxidant enzymes to enhance the skin’s immune system and Active Aloe® to help reduce the visible signs of ageing. The Moisturising Body Milk (£10) contains B5, Shea butter and Jojoba oil to enhance the suppleness of the skin, while providing long-lasting hydration. The combination of ground Bamboo with Jojoba beads in the Body Scrub (£12) effectively removes dead cells and improves microcirculation.
