Illamasqua Matte Effect
Illamasqua have gone all matte and I like it! Their latest imagery for new matte products is fantastic – like something out of a 1980s beauty book, with a modern, 21st Century twist.
The first product in this matte look to work with is the Matte Veil . Hands up who loved Illamasqua’s orginal Hydra Veil? That’ll be a lot of you! Well, you’re going to love this new, matte, version. This intensely mattifying gel gives you skin a matte finish, controls shine throughout the day, and provides the best base for your makeup. If you love primers, then you will love this.
The two new colour products in this collection are the Matte Lip Liquid, which I am wearing here in Exotic, a bold, bright on-trend orange, and a new formulation and shade of Velvet Blusher. I love Velvet Blusher. It’s a lightweight cream texture, and it delivers a velvet soft cream to powder finish. The new shade is a very wearable Flirtatious.
The Matte Lip Liquid comes in two other colours at the moment – Forbidden and Surrender, pastel peach and pink. The lipstick is matte, but not overly drying, and it really does dry down and not budge. I can’t wait until they bring out more colours!
