Tom Ford Spring Colour

When I first saw Tom Ford’s new Spring colour collection, it was the reurn of the white packaging that first struck me. The Tom Ford Lipsticks were originally housed in white and gold before he went all dark and mysterious with the black and gold. So, the white is back for spring (and summer – more on that collection later), and there are eight shades of the new Tom Ford Lip Colour Sheer.

This new lipstick formula is a sort of hybrid of the classic Lipstick and the Shine Lipsticks from last year. The shape of the lipstick bullet has also changed, with a shaped back to it as well, making precise application easier. I’ve been trying out the lovely pink/coral Paradiso, and it is set to be a spring staple.

The other shades cross the spectrum from nudes to hot pinks and reds, all sheer and relatively subtle, but still with rich pigment. The shades are In The Buff, Pink Dune, Bitter Sweet, Summer Fling, Sweet Spot, Firecracker, Paradiso and Incorrigible.

Tom Ford Nail Polish is a decadent purchase. I think it’s for those women who don’t want all the colours of the rainbow on their dressing table, but rather just a few, select, classic shades.

This is Indiscretion – a bright bold pink. It was about four days before the chips appeared, which is pretty good going.

Much cheaper polish recently lasted about three hours.

The four shades are Sugar Dune, Incandescent, Indiscretion, and Coral Beach – which I am definitely coveting!
