Eau De Lacoste Sensuelle

It’s probably safe to say that I am most definitely NOT a Lacoste woman. You’re not likely to ever see me, looking casual yet smart in a crisp Lacoste shirt or polo shirt. But I was drawn to their new fragrance for women – Eau De Lacoste Sensuelle – by the cute litte illustrations by global fashion illustrator, Kera Till, that go with it.

The fragrance itself is an evening scent for the Lacoste woman, who wears Eau De Lacoste during the day, I assume. Apparently the Eau De Lacoste for Women  fragrance was designed to recreate  the feeling of wearing a cool, crisp white cotton shirt on a summer’s day.  She can now move onto this in the evening, and this one represents the evolution from a sunny day, to a cool and refreshing evening.

It’s a very wearable, rich fragrance that has real warmth to it. It opens with notes of pink pepper and blackcurrant, and has a floral heart of Turkish rose, sweet pea, and gladioli, witha base of nougatine and amber – which give it a real, rich, sweetness. I didn’t expect to like it, but there’s something warm and rich about that I like in a perfume. The round bottle is a lovely midnight blue glass, with the textured lid representing Lacoste’s iconic polo shirt.

Kera Till’s illustrations for Eau De Lacoste Sensuelle show the Lacoste woman at her desk at the end of the day, preparing for the night ahead.She created the Lacoste drawings in watercolours.

“I took inspiration from the ingredients of Eau De Lacoste Sensuelle to create the colour palette of the illustrations,” she says. “The dusky pink of Turkish rose, and deeper purple of the blackcurrant both perfectly capture the feeling of day to night visually. The replicate the colours of the night sky.”

Kera also created this special illustration for Mother’ Day, showing a daughter gifting Eau De Lacoste Sensuelle. An idea for mum, perhaps?
