Bobbi Brown's Nectar & Nude

There are a lot of pastels around this spring in fashion and beauty. Bobbi Brown had her Uber Pinks collection last moth, but this month sees something a little bit different, and I love it!

Bobbi Brown Nectar & Nude collection is a gorgeous collection of apricot nectars, fresh pink corals and true peaches. It’s warm, but perfect for all skintones, and although classically Bobbi Brown  – soft and subtle – it has something different about it. Katie Holmes models it beautifully, as ever!

The hero product for me is the fabulous Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks in Hibiscus (£19). Inspired by Bobbi’s memories of her grandmother who used lipstick on her cheeks instead of blush (haven’t we all done that at one time or another, right?!), this is a really creamy formula which blends easily and gives cheeks a sheer wash of colour, and lips a lovely soft stained finish. This rich coral shade is just perfect for spring/summer. It is a lovely rich coral – definitley a beach essential!

There are three Limited Edition Lip Glosses, one High Shimmer (£18). The two sheer, high shine shades are Nude Pink and Nectar, and the High Shine gloss, is Bare Peach. Two Limited Edition Nail Polishes (£11) match the glosses – a gorgeous Nectar shade, and fab Bare Peach Glitter Nail Polish.

The centrepiece of the collection is, as ever, the palette. The Nectar & Nude Eye Palette (£37.50), which has a lovely nectar coloured interior, features six wearable and flattering shades, from shimmering nectars, soft taupes and a rich brown.

And, oh yeah, there’s a new Shimmer Brick! The Limited Edition Apricot Shimmer Brick (£32) is bound to sell out fast. Bobbi originally envisioned this during fashion week when she wanted to create a ‘lit-from-within’ glow. It features golden nectars, warm taupes and icy coral pink pigments. Swirl your brush all over, or use the individual shades on eyes.
