BB & CC from Estee Lauder and Darphin!

Beauty fans! I assume we’re all familiar with BB and CC creams now? I hope so, because they just don’t stop coming. This week I’ve been trying out two new ones on the market – a BB from Estee Lauder, and a CC from Darphin.

Let’s start with Lauder’s BB. The Double Wear All-Day Glow BB Moisture Makeup SPF30, to give it the full name, is the latest addition to Lauder’s Double Wear range.

The Double Wear products are known for good coverage and their ‘lastibility’ (yes, i know that’s not a real word, but I’m feeling it today!). This delivers all the benefits of a BB cream (fighting blemishes, hydrating, giving natural coverage) as well as brightening and giving all-day radiance.

The BB cream contains Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerin for hydration, and Skin Vitalizing Pearlessence – a transparent, opalescent mica which delivers instant skin luminosity.

This BB has quite good coverage for a BB cream, so if you are a Double Wear fan, you will like this as an addition to your foundation collection.

It feels really nice on, and the skin looks luminous and smooth. It is recommended to apply this over moisturiser, unlike some BB creams where you may not need your moisturiser. It comes in eight shades.

So, to the Darphin CC cream! The Darphin CC Cream Instant Multi-Benefit Care SPF35 – full name again – comes i two shades, Light or Medium, and gives a very natural coverage. It feels really lovely on. I applied it after serum and facial oil, and it went on beautifully. It does all sorts of things, this cream.

1. It uses a trio of radiance boosters to illuminate the skin.

2. Embellishing pigments are formulated in different grades to guarantee smooth coverage, so it visibly corrects imperfections.

3. Sodium Hyaluronate for moisturisation combines with Trehalose, a combination of sugars, to help maintain external hydration and re-hydrate.

4. Laminaria Saccharina helps to reduce excess sebum, and peptides works to smooth and reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Pores are less visible and skin is smoother.

5. SPF35 helps to protect the skin from the aggressions of everyday life.

I think this new CC Cream is really excellent if you don’t want heavy colour coverage. All of these skincare benefits are brilliant, particularly when packed into one little product!
