Pop those cheeks!

Blusher. I’ve been thinking about blusher of late. (Yes, the rain and wind can bring a lovely red glow to your cheeks, but that’s not quite what I am thinking about!)

There’s nothing better than a pop of fresh cheek colour to bring spring to your face! There are some lovely new blushers around – and on the way – at the moment. Here are a few of my favourites.

1. Clarins Multi Blush Cream Blush (£18, clarins.co.uk). This lovely lightweight cream blusher comes in four shades – I love bold and bright Grenadine (pictured)  and paler coral/pink Candy. They add a hint of colour, and are full of lovely floral waxes including rose, mimosa, jojoba and sunflower to protect against dehydration.

2. Chanel Cream Blusher in Intonation and Chamade (£27, debenhams.com). Again two gorgeous pink and coral shades, perfect for spring and summer. I’ve been using Intonation, the orange/coral shade, and it has powerful pigmentation – a little goes a long way! Be careful. Apply to the apples of your cheeks and blend. This lovely cream formula is easy to apply with your fingers.

3. Clinique Cheek Pop (£16.50, clinique.co.uk). New from Clinique – not on counter until March 21st – these are SO beautiful you almost don’t want to use them! There are four shades – Ginger Pop, Peach Pop, Berry Pop and Plum Pop. They’re powder blushers, but they are so silky they leave no powder trace. The colour pigment is good, and your cheeks will definitely ‘pop’ all day with them!

4. No7 Pop & Glow Blush (£9.50, boots.com). These, I am in love with! This brilliant new stick cream blusher from No7 is like a big old crayon for your cheeks! Really easy to use, and the colours are lovely. Mango Sorbet is a fantastic peach shade. Apply to your cheeks and blend with a brush, a makeup sponge, or your fingers – the colour is subtle and perfect for summer! The other shades are Classic Rose, and Rose Blossom, if pink is your favourite.

5. Rimmel Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint! (£4.49, superdrug.com). Not new, but worth another mention, these are cheap as chips, and give AMAZING coverage. Sunkissed Cherry is quite a deep colour, perhaps better for a more tanned skintone than mine, but I do love Pop of Pink. These colours really don’t move once applied as well, so make sure you know where you are going with it when you apply! And a little goes a very long way, so even though these little 14ml tubes look tiny, you’ll get a lot of pop for your cheeks out of them!
