Every year, Clinique Kiss It Better, with their campaign to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. This year, I’m a wee bit late in sharing their offerings, and the two biggest ones – in partnership with Lulu Guinness are sold out. So, yeah, it’s a case of ‘here’s what you could have won’ later in this post, and I am sorry for that!

I’ve hastily applied it to my nails on top of a beige, to let you have a look, apologies for the slapdash manicure, pictured below!

The nail polish is available exclusively in House of Fraser stores, houseoffraser.co.uk, or clinique.co.uk, for the month of February. It’s £12, and 50% of the price goes to the appeal.clinique kiss it better nails

This year marks  10 years of the Kiss It Better appeal with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity,  raising money to fund research into the causes and treatment of childhood cancer.

The campaign was the brainchild of Carmel Allen whose daughter Josephine was treated at the hospital for Neuroblastoma – a type of cancer caused by problems in the development of nerve cells. After many months spent at the hospital, and struggling to reconcile life as a Beauty Director, Carmel decided that she wanted to help and so devised the Kiss It Better appeal.

The premise was really simple, “Kiss It Better’ is something every parent says and does when their child is sick or injured. I wanted to turn Josephine’s experience into something positive and to help make a difference to the lives of children with cancer everywhere,” says Carmel.

Ten years on I feel exactly the same way. Jojo is an inspiration to me, she feels as passionately about helping other children as I do and when we go for check-ups she always says how lucky she is to be well. The survival rates have improved even during the 10 years of Kiss it Better and I know they can improve even more. It’s wonderful we are all helping to Kiss It Better. It makes me feel very proud – of our collective achievement – and of Josephine.

This year the special collaboration with Lulu Guinness saw two fantastic items produced – and both have already completely sold out!
