YSL SS14 collection
YSL make gorgeous, glamorous, makeup. Their palettes are lovely, and this spring/summer Rosy Blush Collector Palette – which has already sold out in some places – is no exception.
The palette is beautifully engraved, and and the product itself is a lovely nude blush – two shades of pink, contrasting between matte and iridescence. The texture is a creamy-powdery mix.
“The very lightly coloured nude blush creates fresh radiance and subtly sculpts the cheekbones with powdery light-catching pearls. Like an explosion of roses that light up the complexion with soft freshness,” says YSL Creative Director Makeup, Lloyd Simmonds.
There’s that nude word again. Nude are everywhere in the beauty world this spring, but this collection is quite pink, and bold in parts.
It features the new lipgloss formula – Gloss Volupte – which we blogged about here last week, as well as Rouge Volupte Shine in four bright shades – rose, coral, poppy and red.
There are two new Laque Couture Nail Polish shades – Rose Scabiosa, and Rouge Pablo – this is a gorgeous bright red! And there are also two Rouge Pur Couture Vernis a Levres shades – Bourgogne Artistique, and the equally bold, bright red, Rouge Avant-Gardiste.
Eyes are a pop of purple – another colour which is everywhere this year, with Radiant Orchid being Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2014. Cara Delevingne looks stunning as ever in the campaign shots.
