Holly Sharpe for M&S

Edinburgh illustrator Holly Sharpe has collaborated with Marks and Spencer on a gorgeous Limited Collection beauty range. Holly, who graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone college of art and design in Dundee in 2008 with a first class honours degree in printed textile design, has worked full-time as a textile designer, and has worked for brands like Urban Outfitters, DENY Designs, and RAW USA.

Her work has taken her around the globe, from the USA to Canada, to Australia and Scandinavia, as well as other parts of Europe.

The 19-strong capsule collection features Holly’s whimsical Exotic Girl illustration.  It’s Holly’s first foray into beauty packaging. “As a fashion illustrator I see beauty everywhere. I love to use beauty as a form of creative expression, experimenting with colour and scent,” says Holly. “I am delighted to be working with M&S, it’s such a great brand that is always associated with quality and Britishness.”

Her lovely designs for this M&S collection are influenced by Mardi Gras. Gorgeous and colourful, they have a high summer, bold carnival vibe, abstract feather patterns and boho inspired tropical prints and colours, including intense pink, orange and tomato red.

The range includes makeup and accessories. There are matte lipsticks, kohl kajal eyeliners, double-ended nail polishes, a huge colour palette, blushers, bronzers, and a quad eyeshadow palette.
