16 Shades of Beige from Clinique

1 min read

It’s not very inspiring is it? 16 Shades of Beige? But Clinique’s new collection is a delight if you love beige, nude, neutral shades.

This little mini collection consists of eight shades of  A Different Nail Enamel, and a lovely eye palette, All About Shadow Neutral Territory 2,  which contains eight shades, making up the Clinique 16 Shades of Beige.

The concept behind this collection is that it offers wearability with universally flattering shades for every complexion. Clinique advise for the nail enamels, to select the shade closest to skin’s tone for a truly nude look, they say, which helps to elongate the look of the fingers.

You can, of course,  pick any colour you want from the eight to make a statement. So, the shades are Room Service, Peek A Boo I See You, Birthday Suit, Pajama Party, Tickle Me, Do Not Disturb, Chocolate on my Pillow, and Nighty-Night.

As for the eyes, neutrals make a sexy statement, say Clinique. These lovely eye colour, across the neutral spectrum, are versatile, and, like all Clinique shadows, go on beautifully, and last.

Clinique’s Global Colour Arist, Jenna Menard, explains how to work this palette best. “A neutral palette is one of my favourites to work with because the options are endless. Women aren’t intimidated by the colour palette, so they can feel comfortable really playing with the different shades to create a look all their own,” she says. “A single shade can be used all over the lid, or three or four can be layered and blended to create a custom look.”

Clinique 16 Shades of Beige, available exclusively online at clinique.co.uk, from January 10, and at Clinique counters nationwide, from February 7. A Different Nail Enamel shades are £12, All About Shadow Palette, £32
