Still looking for that luxurious beauty gift for Christmas? Have you been to your nearest Tom Ford Private Blend counter? If not you might not have seen the new additions to Private Blend, created to complement the best-selling Private Blend Oud Wood –  Tobacco Oud and Fleur Oud.

“I have wanted to revisit Oud for years,” says Tom Ford. “It is one of the most endlessly fascinating ingredients in a perfumer’s palette. For this collection, I explored how Oud could intertwine with other precious ingredients from the rich and storied culture, and artisanal history of the Middle East.”

The two new Oud fragrances share the signature elements of the original Oud Wood – Oud, Sandalwood and Patchouli – but are very different after that.  Oud Fleur uses rose as its top note – Rose Bulgaria Orpur, Rose Absolute Morocco, and Rose Absolute Turkey Orpur to be precise.

The heart contains ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and the base has a note of geranium, with date. It’s a gorgeous, rich, heady, floral scent.

Tobacco Oud has notes of tonka, tobacco, amber, rockrose, and cedarwood – it is earthy, primal and animalistic! This one is not for the faint-hearted.

All three fragrances- the original Oud Wood, Oud Fleur and Tobacco Oud, all come in gorgeous warm grey versions of the Private Blend bottle, and warm grey boxes.
