Creme de la Mer have repackaged and reformulated their cleansers. There are four in total, as well as their face spray, The Mist, which they have now launched in a 100ml bottle- handy for travelling.

The four cleansers are formulated for different skin types and cleansing preferences. The newsest is The Cleansing Oil which transforms intoa milky fluid when water is added, like many oil cleansers. it contains previous marine oils, of course, and is gentle enough for sensitive skins. The Cleansing Gel is great for oilier skins; it’s a light, oil-free, foaming gel which works to remove excess sebum without irritating, drying or stripping the skin.

The Cleansing Foam is designed with sea algae fibres and white pearl powder, which will gently purify and energise the skin – great when you need a bit more radiance, particularly at this time of year.

I do wonder sometimes about Creme de la Mer. They do love to add some odd explanations of how their products work. In The Mist, which is formulated with marine botanical extracts to refresh the skin when it needs a boost, apparently there is a live internal magnet to help continually charge the ingredients!

All of the Creme cleansers contain the brand’s The Miracle Broth, and positively charged Deconstructed Waters. Again, I’m not entirely sure what that means, but if you are a Creme fan, I am sure you do! The cleaners also, apparently utilise magnetised tourmaline, which is a natural gemstone, to energise the skin and improve cleansing efficacy.

I haven’t actually tried these cleansers. I do have a small bottle of the Cleansing Gel somewhere, but it’s not brilliant for my, dry, skintype.

The packaging is much sleeker and more modern than it was before, and each cleanser is £60 for 200ml. The Mist is £50 for the new 100ml bottle. Available now, at Creme de la Mer counters, and cremedelamer.co.uk
