Beauty-full Christmas Crackers and Baubles!
When I was little I remember getting some sort of cardboard cracker with a bath salt and a miniature bubble bath in it, and I LOVED it! Best gift ever. I was a marketing man’s dream from an early age, and I still get excited over gimmicky gifts for the festive season!
So, I bring you my favourite beauty buys of the festive season – in the shape of Christmas crackers and, next week, Christmas baubles!
CHRISTMAS BEAUTY CRACKERS
1. Origins Surprise Twists, £45 for six, origins.co.uk. Gorgeous beauty crackers, each one filled with Origins products, a headband a joke! There are two 15ml products in each, from Clear Improvement Active charcoal mask, Modern Friction Nature’s gentle dermabrasion, Make a Difference Rejuvenating hand treatment, Made a Difference Rejuvenating treatment, Drink Up Intensive overnight mask, Ginger Burst and Ginger Souffle Whipped body cream.
2. Autograph Crackers, £18 for six, marksandspencer.com. Dark and boudoir-like packaging is a bit odd for the table, perhaps, but these crackers each have an Autograph mini prouct in them and a beauty tip. The crackers contain Autograph lip gloss, liquid glow illuminator, mascara and kohl pencil eyeliner.
3. Cowshed Cracker, £10, asos.com. This lovely cracker makes a great stocking filler. It contains two mini Cowshed bath and shower gels, 30ml each. Knackered Cow Relaxing, and Grumpy Cow Uplifting. Perfect for the start and end of Christmas Day!
4. Nails Inc Christmas Crackers, £29.50 for six, nailsinc.com. Six craxkers, each containing a full-size nail polish and a fashion quote. Shades are Mayfair Mews – navy Fibre Optic polish, Baker Street – cobalt blue, Marylebone Lane – red full coverage glitter polish, King’s Road – rose gold Foil effect polish, Kensington High Street – deep wine polish, Trafalgar Crescent – silver Galaxy polish. It’s a brilliant price – the polishes alone are worth £69. Great for a girlie Christmas dinner.
5. Clarins Christmas Crackers, £39, selfridges.com. These are just adorable, don’t you think? Exclusive to Selfridges, each lovely cracker contains a mini Clarins product, from Beauty Flash Balm 30ml, Eau des Jardins 30ml, Hand & Nail Treatment Cream 50ml, Gentle Refiner 30ml, Mini Rouge Eclat lipstick (Woodrose), Mini Wonder Perfect Mascara. I’d want them all!
6. M&S Nature’s Extract Spiced Cranberry Cracker, £4, marksandspencer.com. Excellent retro-style beauty cracker, with two 30ml products, for just £4. Contains Spiced Cranberry Shower Gel and hand and body lotion.
