Extra Repair with Bobbi Brown

If you are a fan of the Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Moisturizing Balm, but maybe find it a wee bit too heavy, then you are going to be thrilled at the new Extra Repair Moisture Cream, out this month.

It’s a lighter version of the balm, with the same long-term treatment benefits of the exclusive Extra Repair Complex. It’s designed for normal to dry skin types, and the texture is lovely. Not like a heavy cold cream, but with a bit more ‘bite’ than your usual moisturiser, perhaps. It addresses dehydration and loss of collagen  – two fundamental concerns of skin ageing.

Alongside this cream, Bobbi Brown launches her Extra Treatment Lotion this month. Look out for a lot of these this winter. Origins have launched one this month, and Creme de la Mer have also – more on that one soon. Basically, it’s a product that has filtered through from Asian markets, and is an extra step in your skincare regime if you use it after toner, or can be used in place of a toner.

This contains calming ingredients, caffeine and sucrose to help soothe and comfort skin, while super moisturisers, Glycerin and Sodium Hyaluronate attract and bind moisture to the skin. You apply this with a cotton pad or fingers, gently massage in, or pat in, and follow with your moisturiser.

If you have dry and dehydrated skin, then using a treatment lotion is worth looking into. I’m investigating them at the moment, and will report back soon!

Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Moisture Cream, £62.50, and Extra Treatment Lotion, £45, are available from November, from Bobbi Brown locations, and bobbibrown.co.uk
