All About Eyes with Clinique's new shadows and primer
Clinique’s new eye range slipped under my radar last month, as I prepared for my holiday, so I am sharing it with you now. The beauty company released a veritable wardrobe of new eyeshadows – All About Shadow – and a brand new All About Shadow Primer for Eyes.
The luxurious new eye shadow is in a rich creamy formula – but is still a powder shadow. It delivers high density pigment, and therefore good colour payoff, in a single stroke. It’s eyeshadow for those of us who just want to apply and go, essentially. The shadows contain Murumuru seed butter and vitamin E making them kind to your eyes, and they are available in all finishes, from soft matte to high shimmer, and in singles, duos and quads. And LOADS of colours! There are options for every age, skin tone and style.
The Single shadows (£16) can be applied as a wash of colour all over the lids, or layered with other shades to create a truly customised look. There are four colour groups – Nudes, Goldens and Greens, Pinks, and Blues and Violets, with 31 shades between them.
The Duos (£22) contain complementary light and deep shades, paired together for easy application. Again there are the same four colour groups, with 16 duos to choose from. And the Quads (£28) offer four lovely shades, giving versatility and drama – each compact includes application instructions making it easy to achieve a variety of looks for day and night. In the same four colour groups, there are eight quads to choose from.
So, that’s the shadow sorted, but how to increase the wear of them from eight to 12 hours? Simple. Use the new All About Shadow Primer for Eyes (£20).
It significantly improves colour retention, reduces creasing and extends wear up to twelve hours when applied under the shadow, or if you want, you can wear it alone, for a nude look. It is available infour shades to reach a broad range of skin tones; Very Fair, Moderately Fair, Medium and Deep.
And whilst we;’re on the eyes, don’t forget Clinique’s top-selling Quickliner for Eyes Intense (£14.50) which is now available in six new shades; Intense Truffle, Intense Clove, Intense Peridot, Intense Peacock, Intense Aubergine, Intense Amethyst, as well as two limited edition shades Intense Sable and Intense Cobalt.
