Tom Ford's Fall Collection

2 min read

It’s all about the eyes for Tom Ford in his latest Fall Collection. He calls it that – it’s just the American way of saying Autumn/Winter. It rolls off the tongue easier too, don’t you think?

Anyway, there are loads of just delightful products in this gogeous colleciton – some of them Limited Editon, others permanent additions to Mr Ford’s ever-growing brand. It’s hard to believe he launched his beauty collection  just two years ago.

It uses light and depth to create a dynamic contrast. There are three excellent eye products at the heart of the collection – The Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen (£42) is an innovative, dual-ended liquid liner is my favourite – one end features a fine calligraphy tip, the other a pro-brush – it’s a big old thing as well, I felt like Hermione in harry potter wielding this! And yes, it is magic!

The Tom Ford Eye Primer (£35) is a duo of powder and cream formulas that work with the shadows, and guaratnee an amazing 15-hours of colour-rich, staying power! The Tom Ford Ultra Length Mascara (£34) in Ultra Raven gives carbon-black colour and extra-long lashes.

So, those are the three products at the heart, and then there are the Tom Ford Ombré Eye Color Trios (£50), the Lip Colors (£36) and the Nail Lacquers (£26) to add the gorgeous colour.

The She Wolf trio comes in three smoldering, tone-on-tone grey shades: Deep Black/Brown, Light Charcoal, and Silver Lead, and the In the Pink trio comes in three sensual pink shades and textures for a contoured nude look: Pink Rose, Pink Champagne, and Ballet Slipper Pink. Both are stunning, and if you haven’t used Tom Ford eyeshadow yet, save some cash, do yourself a favour and indulge – it’s really worth the money.

Two gorgeous lip colors complement the eye trios – these are two shades that were in the original Lip Color lineup when they came in white packaging two years ago – big beautiful purple/berry shade Bruised Plum, and really retro gorgeous nude, Vanilla Suede.  The Nail Lacquers are Black Sugar – a sort of greige with a red metallic hint through it, and lovely Show Me The Pink,a lovely peachy-pink  with a pearlised gold shot through.

Yes, it’s decadent, yes it’s expensive, but it’s the most glamorous makeup you will ever own!
