The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick - Beauty Bargain of the Week

1 min read

We can all spend a fortune on beauty products, but we don’t need to. Every week, I’m going to bring you my ‘Beauty Bargain of the Week‘  – a product I’ve used, and would recommend, and that, on most occasions, costs less than a fiver! What’s not to like!

This week’s Beauty Bargain is £10 which I guess isn’t as cheap as many things I recommend here, but I think it’s a pretty good price for a decent lipstick – and The Body Shop’s new Colour Crush Lipstick is just that. It replaces ColourGlide, and there are 24 gorgeous shades in three colour families – brightes reds, sweetest pinks, and finest nudes, in a mix of pure colour and subtle shimmer finishes. The lipsticks are 100% cruelty free and 100% vegetarian.

The Body Shop have travelled the world to source high-quality pigments, which we’ve finely crushed then blended with a drop of nurturing cherry seed oil and coated with our finest, silkiest Community Fair Trade marula oil. The lipsticks do feel really, really moisturising and glide on easily, and each of them has a gorgeous, delicate floral rose fragrance.

The lipsticks also gie something back – they benefit from Community Fair Trade marula oil made from the ripe fruit of the sacredmarula tree. The Body Shop source it from the Eudafano Women’s Co-Operative, which is helping 1750 women to earn a fair income. The women involved in the project report that the benefits to them go beyond money, it also helps give them a sense of independence, business management and confidence.

The Colour Crush Lipsticks are prived £10 each, and are available from today, at The Body Shop stores nationwide, and thebodyshop.co.uk
