New - Clinique's Repairwear Laser Focus Smooths, Restores, Corrects

Following on from my serums post earlier, news of another updated serum from Clinique. Clinique developed Repairwear Laser Focus Serum to address fine lines and wrinkles, and have now added more innovative technology to their powerhouse serum, and created the new version – Repairwear Laser Focus Smooths, Restores, Corrects.It’s not the snappiest name, but it promises to deliver twice the smoothing results as before, so I guess fans will forgive them for the crazy long name! (And I will have to reign in my spelling and grammar OCD to ignore the fact it uses the more American ‘smooths’ instead of ‘smoothes’!)

The new serum contains a whole host of new ingredients – Acetyl Glucosamine, a multi-functional amino-sugar and building block of hyaluronic acid, which aids in breaking the bonds that hold dead skin cells ont he surface of the skin, and Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Extract, derived from the Salvia Sclarea plant, which supports the final steps of cell differentiation and exfoliation by promoting the reformation of the skin’s barrier layer are two which help with the smoothing part. Basically, both ingredients help with sloughing off the old cells, and replenishing with new.

Whery Protein and Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 help with the restoring part – peptides which help stimulate natural collagen production – the stuff we need to maintain the youthful plumpness of our skin, and a variety of ingredients help with the correcting part – vitamins C and E give antioxidant protection and Plankton Extract helps absorb visible light to promote cellular repair.

So, all in all, it’s a action packed anti-ageing serum for all skin types, and all ages! You should use it in the morning and at night, before your usual skincare routine, and apply this over the face and the eye area.
