Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede

Peonies are beautiful flowers – my Granny had them in her garden, and they always remind me of her. They’re out for such a short time, so any fragrance with a hint of peony, which means I can prolong the lovely flower and scent, is fine by me.

Jo Malone launch their newest scent next month – Peony & Suede Blush.

The creation of Master Perfumer Christine Nagel, it blends gorgeous peony with a bite of red apple, jasmine – another of my favourite scents – rose and gillyflower. And then it adds soft blush suede to the mix.

Red apple is the top note, and you really can smell this sharp, fresh scent in the cologne. Peony is harder to pick out at its heart, with rose and honey accents, but its delicious floral scent is there. The blush suede at the base is interesting -a textural tone if that makes sense, it really does complement the floral. Leathers and suedes are excellent additions to fragrances, giving them an extra depth.

The packaging is lovely, with blush suede ribbons wrapping up the boxes, and there is a whole range of other lovely products to go along with the cologne. The Peony & Blush Suede Cologne comes in two sizes – 30ml & 100ml, priced £39 and £78, and there is a Body Creme, £50, Body & Hand Wash, £32 and Home Candle, £38, available.
