Clarins Autumn Makeup Collection
Yes, it’s time for Autumn makeup collections, and let’s face it, when it rains, I’m quite happy to have a peek at what I can look forward to wearing in the lovely autumn months. It’s probably my favourite season, with it’s crisp, dry mornings, and beautiful foliage colours everywhere.
And then there’s all the new makeup collection, and the countdown to Christmas! Okay, I won’t mention Christmas again, I promise! Clarins autumn makeup is on counters from August, and is a really lovely, simple collection, with a few beautiful pieces. As ever, at its heart is a gorgeous Limited Edition Face & Blush Powder (£30), this one made up of three universal shades – a light beige to illuminate, a darker beige to even skin tone and a coral pink blush to sculpt. And there’s ahint of gold to add a touch of light to the skin. If you want to heighten the glow it gives, apply the pink shade to the cheekbones as well.
Within this collection, and from now a permanent fixture on counter, is the 3-Dot Liner (£20), which I blogged about on here last year.It was a huge hit and Clarins have now made it permanent – easy to use, and now with growth-stimulating ingredients to condition uyour lashes when you weave the handy pen tool between them!
if you are a Crayon Kohl (£17) fan, there are eight gorgeous autumnal shades to choose from, with violet, plum, bronze, taupe and blue sitting alongside brown and black. This kohl is long-lasting, and can be used like traditional kohl inside the lower lash along the water line, or around your eye contour area. It’s very soft, doesn’t irritate, and instead of one of those smudgers at the end, which are never that great, it has a fantastic little brush, so you can blend it up over the eye area.
The Eye Quartet Mineral Palette (£31) for autumn is a new ‘forest’ shade collection, with hints of khaki green, satin taupe, intense bronze and a pale gold. To complete the collection, there are three new Joli Rouge Lipsticks (£18) in Pink Camellia, Spicy Cinammon and Royal Plum.
