Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Collection
“This autumn, chocolate is the new black.” So says Bobbi Brown, and she’s created a beautiful autumn makeup collection to illustrate her claim. Bobbi’s Rich Chocolate Collection is inspired by bittersweet chocolate and ripe raspberries. And, you get to indulge a chocolate craving, without actually eating it!
This collection is all about the eyes – enhanced by black-infused brown, and complemented by a touch of rosy, just-pinched colour, on cheeks and lips.
At the heart of this lovely collection is a Limited Edition Rich Chocolate Eye Palette (£39.50) which is reminiscent of your favourite chocolate bar, but much better for you! It has a lovely array of brown shadows, all very wearable, and in different textures and finishes – from matte to soft shimmer to sparkle. You can wear the shadows alone, or layer them for a smouldering look. The palette also includes a Dual Ended Eye Shadow, Eye Liner brush, and a mirror.
There are two Limited Edition Lip Colors (£19) in Berry and Baby Pink – both working well with the eye palette, as well as two Limited Edition Lip Gloss (£18) shades in Pale Pink and Tea Berry, and one new, permanent, colour – Chocolate Raspberry.
There are two new Blush (£19) shades – Berry will be permanent, and the gorgeous Pink Coral will be Limited Edition. I am in love with the latter shade already – pop it on the apple of your cheeks to give you an instant lift!
Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner (£17.50) and Long-Wear Eye Pencil (£18) in Dark Chocolate Ink, and Black Chocolate, respectively, are deep brown shades, worth experimenting with, as is the Limited Edition Extreme Party Mascara (£19) shade of Black Chocolate – it’s an excellent mascara, and this shade instantly opens up the eyes. Did you know that Hollywood screen legend Bette Davies, who had amazing eyes, always wore brown mascara?
Finally, there’s a Limited Edition shade of Bittersweet in a Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick (£20) – a really easy way to create a smoky eye – use this as a shadow or a smudgy liner.
