Beauty Bargain of the Week - L'Oreal Elvive Serum

L'Oreal Paris Elvive aqua serum

We can all spend a fortune on beauty products, but we don’t need to. Every week, I’m going to bring you my ‘Beauty Bargain of the Week‘  – a product I’ve used, and would recommend, and that, on most occasions, costs less than a fiver! What’s not to like!

I’m quite fussy about my hair oils and hair serums. I tend to favour Moroccanoil and Paul Mitchell’s Gloss Drops.

But I recently gave L’Oreal Paris Elvive Smooth & Polish Aqua Serum a go, and it’s really not bad at all. Of course, it’s things like glycerine and castor oil that are involved, but it feels quite nice on the hair, not too heavy, and it has a lovely smell, albeit quite a fake one!

They’re calling it a 24 hour anti-frizz aqua-serum, and I’m not sure they can live up to their 24 hour claims on a humid summer’s day here. It has something L’Oreal are claling ‘Thermo-Protect’ in it to protect our hair from the heat.

If I have space in my luggage on my next holiday, I’ll be giving it a try – it will be intersting to see if it stands up to 90 degrees and over!

But if you are looking for a cheap(ish) serum to calm down your hair in the summer, then you could do worse than this. You can also use it on damp hair  before styling, or letting dry naturally to seal in moisture.
