Stay Flawless with BeneFit's new 15 Hour Primer

Primers are having a bit of a ‘beauty moment’ – they’re everywhere! A primer is the last step in your skincare routine before you apply your foundation. Way back when they were called mattifiers – this is essentially what they do – they mattify the skin – smooth it out, and prime it for foundation, hence, primer.

It comes in a stick form, looks tinted but goes on invisible, is exceptionally easy to use, and does give you a lovely smooth complexion. I’m a big fan of the Hello Flawless foundation – it gives sheer to medium coverage, is buildable depending on how much coverage you want, and feels lovely on.

Stay Fawless feels gorgeous upon application, and I have used it on top of my foundation for quick touch-ups during the day, perfect in hot weather when your makeup starts to slide a little – although with their 15 Hour primer claim, you won’t have to do that!

Lisa Potter-Dixon, BeneFit’s national makeup artist and brow expert explained the product to me last week at a one-on-one appointment at the BeneFit counter in Harvey Nichols. The lovely Lisa road tests all the products. “I put Stay Flawless on at 6am when I was going on an all day shoot, and my makeup was still there when we wrapped, over 15 hours later,” Lisa said.

I have to agree with her – I’ve been wearing it for a month now, and it really does hold your makeup in place. And it has a cute polka dot cap – can’t ask for more than that!
