Color WOW - look after your coloured hair!

Color Wow is the new haircare range from renowned renowned beauty innovator, Gail Federici and internationally acclaimed hairdresser, John Frieda, and it’s coming to a Space NK near you this summer. Currently available on QVC, and available online at Space NK from June, it will be in stores come July.

The range, for coloured hair, obviously, consists of six products, quite a few of them very innovative. Unfortunately, having bright red hair I coudn’t try out the Root Cover Up (£28.50) which is the talking point of the range. Basically you can cover grey hairs and dark roots with this. The blonde shades covers  dark re-growth in lightened/highlighted hair, the pigments adhere to hair without being sticky or oily and without dulling – it doesn’t contain any waxes or dyes and it lasts from shampoo to shampoo. It comes in four shades – brown. light brown, medium brown and dark brown, and you should get 60 applications from it.

The range contains Color Security Shampoo and Conditioner (both £16.50) which come in two variants, for fine to normal hair, and normal to thick hair,  as well as Brass Banned Mousse (£16.50) which comes in two variations -for blondes and dark hair – the former is lavender-tinted, and the latter teal-tinted, to counter any brassiness in your colour.

I tried the One Minute Transformation (£16.50) which is a ‘miracle styling cream’ which you apply to dry hair to bring back smoothness and shine. You apply it to any unruly areas, and blow-dry those sections, and I found this worked really well. Fantastic addition to my haircare routine.

Lastly, Pop & Lock crystallite shellac (£14), which I still don’t truly understand – it’s described as creating a protective shellac (like the nails) on the hair, trapping the colour and locking in moisturize, and locking out dryness.
